The FTSE Alternative Investment Market listed Mining company Shanta Mining Company Limited (trading as Shanta Gold) has reported that it is expected to mine 63,000 to 65,000 troy ounces (or 1959.5kg to 2021.7kg) of Gold from its Tanzania operations this year.

Its CEO, Michael Houston, expects that operational improvements and increased capacity will see a rise in the amount of Gold that it extracts, with a firm target of 80,000 t/oz set for 2014.
