UK Gold Exports Surge
A surge in the export of Gold from the UK has been noted by the Australian bank Macquarie.
This surge, which totaled 1,016.3 tonnes between January and August 2013 and up from 85.1 tonnes in the same period of 2012, is thought to be due to a high demand in the Asian markets, with Gold exported from the UK largely being channeled through Switzerland for re-refining.
