Platinum
Platinum is currently the most expensive of the four precious metals as it is much rarer than Gold. It is available in Bullion form from 1 gram upwards.
Natural Platinum is always found with other elements such as Iron, Gold, Nickel, Iridium, Rhodium and Palladium, and due to its impurity it can have a specific gravity as low as 14, whereas in its purest form this is as high as 21.4.
Platinum can be slightly magnetic if it contains traces of Iron.
Like Gold and Silver, Platinum is used as a store of wealth, with a variety of Bullion Bars and Coins available to collectors and investors.
