The obverse features Jody Clark's latest portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on a distinctive textured background.
The 1oz Britannia Silver Coin was first produced in 1987 and is still legal tender with a face value of £2. These coins are therefore Capital Gains Tax Free. The 2013 edition was the first Silver Britannia to be produced to a purity 999.0 and this continues with the new 2021 edition. The 2021 Silver 1 Ounce Britannia has a 'fine silver weight' of 31.1g or 1.000t oz.
